Jank Shank S - SOCOM Black

Took this out on a weekend camping trip and it handled batoning through small kindling way better than I expected for a knife this size. The CPM M4 steel holds an edge impressively well, though I did notice a bit of patina starting after some wet use. Solid fixed blade for the money.

Carried this every day for two weeks now and the Standard blade profile slices through packaging and rope like it’s nothing. The CPM M4 steel held its edge through all of it, even after some cardboard abuse. Been looking for a fixed blade that doesn’t feel bulky in the pocket—this one disappears.

The edge on this CPM M4 steel took one hell of a beating through dense hardwood and still pushed through paper after. The SOCOM Black finish has held up nicely against sweat and rough handling, too. Grips like a dream even with wet hands.
