Slapped this on my hiking backpack and it's survived rain, mud, and a very rough weekend on the trail without peeling. The PVC backing feels way sturdier than the cheap embroidered patches I've bought before, and 3.5 inches is the perfect size for a lid.

Stuck this on my hydration pack for a muddy trail race and it didn't peel at all, even after getting soaked. The 3.5" size is big enough to read clearly without hogging the whole strap.

The PVC backing actually holds up in rain, which I didn't expect from a patch this cheap. Slapped it on my hat and it survived a whole muddy weekend without peeling.
